Commercial Business Unit: Mid Commercial (201 - 1000 employees) Overview The Solution Engineer at Salesforce plays a pivotal role in aligning innovative strategies with technology solutions across complex accounts, driving consensus on multi-product solutions, and delivering advanced customer experiences throughout the client lifecycle. Responsibilities A Solution Engineer plays a pivotal role in aligning innovative strategies to technology solutions within complex accounts, partnering with clients and internal teams to drive consensus on multi-product solutions. Engage in business development, operations, and IT strategy, acting as a trusted advisor for driving innovative solutions and improving business performance. Define ambiguous business problems, conduct research and assessment, recommend opportunities, and provide practical next steps. Help clients develop decision frameworks and governance processes that deliver sustained value. Demonstrate connected experiences through software demos and rapid prototyping. Assist the customer, Account Executive, and Professional Services team with discovery, analysis, and recommendation of strategic solutions through transformational pitches and live product demonstrations. Discover customer business needs and position the best Salesforce solution to achieve those objectives. Build and present customized solutions and demonstrations focused on Salesforce products for various customer personas. Convey a deep understanding of the customer's architecture as it relates to Salesforce solutions. Orchestrate and lead cross‑functional solution guides aligned to opportunity strategy. Develop and deliver the customer experience story using Salesforce technologies. Participate in product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to maintain knowledge. Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region. Required Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field. Knowledge of relational databases, web technologies, and related applications. Strong oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work in cross‑functional teams to solve technical problems in varied environments. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications. Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM or similar technology company. Basic programming experience in HTML and other web technologies.
