Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children preferred
- Positive, encouraging attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
- Some knowledge of special education support or classroom management a plus
- Flexibility and resourcefulness when approaching new challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in daily instructional activities
- Assist students one-on-one and in small groups with academic tasks
- Help implement individualized education programs (IEPs), when applicable
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all students
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities
- Maintain clear records and communicate progress with the instructional team
