Property Manager

Property Manager Seeking a long-term Property Manager for Family Supportive Housing units with approximately 160 apartments. Interested candidates must have previous Property Management experience along with knowledge of HPD, HUD, OASAS, Section 8, or HDC. Job Duties: Ensure the building is maintained in good operational condition. Manage inspections and confirmations for all apartments, ensuring they meet standards prior to lease signing. Prepare reports on repairs and preventive maintenance for Program Directors and Case Managers. Oversee repairs and exterminations, documenting all activities. Utilize company software to record all property repair information. Discuss client-related damages with Program Directors and Case Managers. Monitor and respond to regulatory agencies in accordance with agreements. Update tenant information in the Win software system. Ensure compliance with HUD, OASAS, HDC, and HPD regulations. Provide real-time information on health and home hazards to staff, clients, and landlords. Implement best practices to ensure safety, minimize damage, and monitor security systems. Conduct unit inspections to ensure compliance with guidelines. Application and Data Management: Process rental applications, lease signings, and renewals. Represent the division on internal committees. Participate in tenant and SHP meetings. Manage move-out procedures and communicate punch list items for repairs. Manage rent collection and tenant accounts. Attend training sessions and meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with at least five years of property management experience. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Experience in non-profit scattered-site settings and familiarity with affordable housing policies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of low-income housing tax credits, home fund laws, and regulations. Proficiency with property management software and MS Office Suite. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
