SUPPLEMENTAL- Senior High Head Volleyball Coach Southeast Delco School District Academy Park High School - Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania Job Details Job ID: 5770875 Application Deadline: Jul 01, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time) Re-Posted: Jun 10, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Southeast Delco School District Senior High Head Volleyball Coach Academy Park High School Supplemental Contract- 2026-2027 School Year Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the volleyball program, and lead and supervise the Assistant Coach in their efforts. Schedule and attend practices. Ensure each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate in practices and games. Work cooperatively with other head athletic coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program. Collaborate with the Athletic Director and Assistant Coach in preparation of schedules for the team. Recommend to the Athletic Director the type of equipment and supplies needed to conduct the volleyball program. Assist the Assistant Coach with the inventory and care of equipment. Engage with the parents of the members of the volleyball team in a positive and constructive manner. Understand the signs and symptoms of injuries such as a concussion and remove players that are exhibiting signs and symptoms of injury. Encourage student athletes to set and maintain high standards of behavior on the court and off. Attend and participate in scheduled staff and team meetings. Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Coach and any potential volunteers. The Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director. The Head Coach is required to attend any PIAA coaches meeting. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Qualifications: Demonstration of current knowledge of strength and conditioning programs for volleyball. Assist with the organization and development of the high school volleyball program. Must be team-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about sports. Prior coaching experience desired. Pre-Employment Requirements: Completion of the following three clearances: PA State Police Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting Background Check. Completion of PIAA safety and compliance trainings. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: The individual must demonstrate the ability to communicate, organize and analyze complex and diverse information and use same to resolve problems in a timely manner. The individual must be punctual at all times and ensure that work responsibilities are covered in his/her absence. Must complete tasks correctly and on time. Safety Regulations: Must report all student concerns, injuries, and incidents to the Athletic Department immediately. Anyone who knows of any action, inaction, or misconduct are required to file a report with the Athletic Department and shall report such misconduct to his or her school administrator. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise the Assistant Coach and any volunteers associated with the team. Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires the incumbent to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of lighting and weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun, rain, snow and ice. Compensation: 50 units for the completion of the whole spring season. 1 Unit= $96.00. This position is evaluated on a yearly basis.
