Health Information Management Specialist

Working full-time in a remote capacity, the Health Information Management Specialist will manage the accurate uploading and indexing of outside medical records into the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring compliance with documentation standards and collaborating with clinicians for record completion. Key responsibilities Accurately upload and index medical records using applicable software, ensuring proper documentation routing to clinicians Analyze medical records for missing documentation and collaborate with providers to address deficiencies according to regulatory standards Serve as the point of contact for record completion support, providing education and assistance to clinicians regarding documentation needs Required qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalent 0-1 years of experience in healthcare preferred Proficient in using computer software systems such as Epic, OnBase, and Microsoft Office Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and productivity standards Basic knowledge of HIPAA and safeguarding protected health information (PHI)
