Work Environment This position is primarily remote, allowing our counselors flexible working conditions while still engaging with our supportive team. Our outpatient office setting is conducive to collaboration, where counselors can consult with peers and participate in regular case discussions as part of our commitment to continuous professional development. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, occasional evenings or weekends may be required to accommodate client appointments, ensuring our clients receive timely support. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments using standardized tools and personal interviews to accurately identify clients' mental health needs. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the specific goals and circumstances of each client. Provide individual, couples, and group counseling using appropriate therapeutic interventions that align with best practices in mental health care. Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric professionals, to ensure comprehensive and holistic client care. Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards throughout the duration of treatment. Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge of current trends in mental health. Qualifications A valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia is required. A Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience conducting individual and group therapy within diverse mental health settings. Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and demonstrating a compassionate approach to client care. Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds and ensure a strong therapeutic alliance. Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective documentation and client interactions. A commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of clinical practice. Preferred Experience Experience with specialized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Trauma-Informed Care is highly valued. A background in group facilitation, particularly in support or recovery settings, will be advantageous for working with our diverse client base. Compensation and Benefits We offer competitive compensation ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience along with potential bonuses.
