Cardiology - Locum PhysicianJob Title: Cardiologist Location: Ketchikan, Alaska Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $247 - $266/hrAstrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:Provide outpatient cardiology services at 0.25 FTE, working 4-5 days per month, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pmSee an average of 14-16 adult and geriatric patients per day in a clinic/outpatient settingWork independently as the sole cardiologist on site, supported by family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, general surgery, emergency department, and hospitalist teamsMaintain active Alaska (AK) medical license (MD/DO) at time of startMaintain current BLS certification from AHA or American Red CrossDemonstrate proficiency in the Epic EMR system for clinical documentationProvide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 monthsAdhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements with no exemptionsObtain and maintain appropriate clinical privileges (clinic privileges only; no rounding, admissions, or call required)Comply with all credentialing and privileging requirements as determined by the client facilityBenefits for a Cardiologist:Weekly pay every FridayComprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance24/7 Recruitment SupportFull-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel TeamReferral Bonus up to $5,000Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
