Competitive, based on experience.The Accounting Manager / Office Manager combines hands-on operational tasks with strategic oversight. This role ensures accounting accuracy, HR compliance, and smooth office operations while acting as a trusted advisor to leadership. The position also supports key events and special projects, requiring adaptability, discretion, and a high level of professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Oversee bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and record maintenanceManage cash flow, payroll, and timely payment of financial obligationsReconcile commissions and prepare monthly financial reportsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and auditsCoordinate with external accountants and manage tax preparationMonitor expenses and identify efficiency opportunitiesManage full employee lifecycle: onboarding, benefits, compliance, and offboardingMaintain personnel files and HR policiesAdminister benefits and liaise with providersSupport a positive workplace culture aligned with company valuesOversee daily office operations, budget, supplies, and equipmentCollaborate with operations and merchandising teams to optimize systemsManage office technology and overall operational efficiencyPlan and coordinate hospitality for winter and summer market weeksOrganize meals, catering, temporary staff, and lunch tickets for vendors and partnersMaintain petty cash, reconcile sample sales, and manage payments with the sales teamSupport biannual immediate delivery sales eventsAct as a strategic partner to the Founder, managing priorities and projectsPrepare meeting materials and presentationsHandle confidential information with discretionAnticipate needs and proactively solve problemsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years in office management, business operations, or chief-of-staff rolesStrong bookkeeping/accounting skills; proficient in QuickBooks or similar platformsHR experience with payroll, benefits, and complianceAdvanced Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skillsExcellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilitiesHigh emotional intelligence and professional discretionBenefits:Competitive salaryHealth, vision, dental, and life insuranceRetirement savings plansProfessional growth and leadership exposureOpportunity to take ownership and impact operations and finance
