AI Sr Lead Software Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We want a proven history of using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude to speed up development, along with the ability to coach teams on standard adoption.
• We need experience designing and shipping agentic systems, including LLM-powered agents, multi-step reasoning flows, and tool-using AI in production.
• We expect the ability to drive an AI-augmented engineering culture by setting standards, running experiments, and building team confidence as practices evolve.
• We look for deep expertise in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for commercially used web and/or mobile platforms.
• We require strong experience building and running large-scale, high-performance digital applications with distributed systems and cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• We want deep knowledge of enterprise design patterns and modern technologies, including microservices and APIs.
• We seek experience building, leading, and mentoring technology teams, including next-level leaders.
• We require experience implementing industry-standard cybersecurity and technology controls.
• We value demonstrated experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with the ability to set validation expectations for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations, plus experience coaching senior engineers and leads on compliant usage patterns.
• Preferred: experience leading engineering culture transformation initiatives, especially adoption of AI tooling, new workflows, or technical practice changes across distributed teams.

• We drive the technical strategy and delivery of a lending platform, embedding AI-native capabilities such as agentic workflows and LLM-powered features into core product experiences.
• We lead multiple technology implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology goals.
• We manage multiple areas with a strategic transactional focus.
• We serve as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, building alignment across competing priorities.
• We oversee multiple stakeholders, complex programs, and large cross-product partnerships.
• We influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
• We drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while establishing measurable validation standards and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain capabilities, including approved AI-assisted development and automation tools, to maximize the value of automation at scale.
