Lead Software Engineer - Sr. UI Developer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience
• 10+ years delivering technology solutions, including 8+ years in web development
• Advanced expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript for production web applications
• 8+ years working with HTML5 and CSS, with strong grounding in modern web standards
• Proven experience with UI testing approaches and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Selenium, covering unit through end-to-end testing
• Strong background integrating RESTful web services and building scalable client-side integrations
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and paradigms, including object-oriented and functional programming
• 5+ years using build pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or similar
• Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support software engineering workflows, with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to review and verify AI-assisted code and technical recommendations before use, escalate when unsure, and follow security and data-handling requirements
• Experience customizing CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and using preprocessors such as Sass or Less
• Experience with GraphQL services and front-end integration patterns
• Demonstrated use of Test-Driven Development and/or Behavior-Driven Development practices
• Experience with containerization and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon Web Services
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery practices for web platforms

• Lead delivery across the team by coordinating engineers and driving execution in an agile environment to meet quality and timeline goals
• Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices across the software development life cycle, including code quality, testing, and release readiness
• Build and optimize Single Page Applications with a focus on page speed, user experience, and scalable front-end architecture
• Implement thorough testing strategies, including unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests, to ensure product quality and completeness
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to turn business needs into well-architected technical solutions
• Improve development workflows by identifying and implementing enhancements to tooling, processes, and build pipelines such as Jenkins
• Ensure solutions align with architecture standards and meet risk management and security expectations
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to support code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
• Apply knowledge of software development life cycle tooling, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation
