Hours for this position are typically: 1st shift: Monday- Friday, 4:00am- 2:00pm 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 12:00am *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) * WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: $25/hour $1.50/hour shift premium for 2nd shift $1.00/hour shift premium for 3rd shift Weekly pay 10 paid holidays Paid Time Off 401k plan Full benefits (medical/dental/vision) WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION : Previous experience MIG welding steel is required Strong work ethic Positive attitude Consistent attendance Willingness to learn Safety minded KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing support in operations as a Welder which can include duties such as: Setup welding equipment and supplies before executing the job orders; test and measure finished products. Operate equipment safely and effectively for welding. Stop to make minor repairs of welding machinery when product or machines or not to standard. Provide sufficient quantity of repaired parts to ensure delivery schedules are sustained. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly. Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and adhering to industry regulations. Handle time accounting and complete work order. Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries. Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely. Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Company procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, ASME, NEC, etc. standards. Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately. Requirements Required High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Prefer 2 years of experience MIG and/or TIG welding steel and galvanized steel. Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools. Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship. Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling). Skilled in hand and power tool usage. Ability to follow proper safety procedures. Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues. Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.
