Job Description Job Description The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the entire culinary staff and all Culinary Functions across multiple dining outlets including a full service restaurant, a craft foods servery, and a coffee shop. Leadership from the Executive Chef ensures quality of food items prepared are meeting each of the established company's standards. Duties also include hiring, training, appraising, and coaching colleagues: Team members are: * Are passionate about teamwork, hospitality, guest experience, and great food & beverage * Are fully knowledgeable of the menu including ingredients, allergens, and wine recommendations * Work as part of a service team to take care of all guests in the restaurant * Focused on ensuring a positive guest experience * Fully knowledgeable of allergens and dietary restrictions Compensation & Benefits: * $120,000 annual salary + Bonus * 401(k) with company match * Health, dental and vision insurance * Vacation time * Paid Sick Time * Flexible schedule with limited late nights * Daily staff meal Summary Responsibilities * Create a great team environment and deliver outstanding fun, food * Lead culinary team to create the most welcoming and excellent hospitality experience * Train culinary team ensure timely meal delivery, hospitality, and gracious food and beverage service in the restaurant * Coordinate the most successful service plans with service teams, to make sure the kitchen paces appropriately, meets timely service needs, and delivers a quality product at all times * Identify and collaborate with outstanding local vendors and products to include in menu programming * Work with leadership team, service team, and operations team to make sure culinary teams are most collaborative and successful * Trains staff on allergen awareness and best practices for allergens and dietary restrictions * Utilizes and knows Toast Point of Sale to make sure system is setting the operations up for success * Write innovative menus and train colleagues in culinary and service teams on menu programming * Act as a professional point of contact for colleagues and communicate with colleagues across the restaurant including service team, management, and culinary * Review customer feedback and professionally share with team * Work with colleagues to manage and control costs, and maintain an appropriate inventory * Remain composed while working with a sense of urgency and focus * Ensure safety and compliance with health, safety, and quality control rules and regulations * Set the best examples for professionalism, guest service, and passion for hospitality * Implement company's allergen labeling programming with Culinary Director * Other responsibilities as needed to deliver an outstanding hospitality experience Required Qualifications * Extensive skill in usage of kitchen equipment, i.e. slicers, mixers, food processors, stoves, steamers, grills, fryers, ovens, kettles, kitchen tools, smallwares, and ability to train * Leadership qualities including great listening skills; positivity, able to motivate colleagues and build teamwork; respect for and tolerance of others; professional communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues * Good judgement, the ability to make independent decisions without constant direction from others, and to solve problems as they arise within the workplace. * Excellent guest service skills. * Strong communication skills and hospitality skills * Able to grasp and reach overhead * Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+lbs * Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet * Servsafe allergen certified and Servsafe manager (or willing to be certified prior to start date, company pays classes) and TIPS certification, crowd control, and choke saver certifications * Minimum 5 Years Experience in an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef Role Company Description GC Fine Catering provides hospitality food, drink, and events services at restaurants and special events.
