As our Escrow Assistant, you'll partner with the Post-Closing Manager, Escrow Officers, Operations, Title, and Finance teams to keep disbursements and recordings moving smoothly, with a strong focus on Texas transactions. You bring:A High School Diploma or GED (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferredExperience working with Qualia (required)1+ years of experience in a title, escrow, or closing environmentExperience managing fiduciary funds, or an equivalent accounting background, preferredWorking knowledge of BankUnited, a plusProficiency with Qualia or similar title/escrow production softwareFamiliarity with check processing, disbursement procedures, and banking portalsThe ability to read and interpret settlement statements and disbursement instructionsStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet critical deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholdersThe ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial informationProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environmentA proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach to workA current Texas Escrow License, or willingness to pursue licensure as part of accepting this roleWhat You'll Do:DisbursementsProcess and coordinate outgoing escrow disbursements nationwide, with an emphasis on Texas transactionsReview settlement statements, closing documents, and disbursement instructions for accuracyPrepare and process checks, wires, payoffs, and other transaction disbursementsVerify payees, amounts, supporting documentation, and required approvals before funds are releasedTrack pending disbursements and meet critical funding deadlinesMaintain accurate records of checks, wires, and disbursement activityIdentify and resolve discrepancies before funds are releasedFollow company procedures for wire fraud prevention, identity verification, and handling escrow fundsMonitor the daily schedule of pending disbursements and proactively flag any delays or discrepanciesCoordinate with Escrow Officers, Operations, and Finance staff to resolve issues related to checks or disbursementsPerform quality control checks to confirm disbursement accuracy and complianceSupport additional disbursement-related duties as assignedPost-Closing and RecordingPrepare and mail lender documents and other required post-closing documentsCoordinate mail-away recordings and ensure documents are properly prepared, sent, tracked, and returnedMonitor recording status and follow up on outstanding recording mattersAssist with post-closing document review and file completionMaintain accurate records of documents sent for recording and returned recorded documentsCoordinate with Escrow Officers, Operations, Title, and Post-Closing teams to resolve outstanding mattersEnsure post-closing tasks are completed accurately and within required timelinesOther duties as assignedSalary: $60,000 - $65,000/year depending on experienceWhy Blueprint Title:We believe people do their best work when they're trusted, supported, and part of a team that gets the details right.
