Dermatology Medical Receptionist - Part-Time

Job Description Job description Lucid Dermatology is a well-established dermatology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive skincare solutions to our patients. Our group of skilled dermatologists and passionate team members are dedicated to providing excellent patient care and fostering a friendly and welcoming environment. We are now seeking an enthusiastic receptionist to join our team and serve as our patients' initial point of contact. As a receptionist at Lucid Dermatology, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients. You will be responsible for managing the front desk, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and providing excellent customer service. Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information. Schedule patient appointments, confirming and rescheduling as necessary. Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information about our services. Verify insurance information and assist patients with any billing or payment questions. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry. Assist in maintaining and updating patient records and electronic health records (EHR/ EMR). Staying HIPAA compliant, maintaining patient information private, and following all security and privacy guidelines. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is required; derm experience is a plus. ModMed/ EMA EMR experience is also a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using office software, including scheduling and EHR/ EMR systems. Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of patient interactions. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Lucid Dermatology is an equal-opportunity employer.
