As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Operations in Aurora, IL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, restricted areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials where required, and support established check‑in and/or escort procedures for employees, contractors, and guests. Support day‑to‑day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining accurate activity logs, and following post orders related to equipment, property, and security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be 21+ years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Have alarm panel experience preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
