Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Plainfield, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $19.63 / Hour Job Schedule Fri 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related screening, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and follow post orders for deliveries, shipments, and restricted areas in support of daily location operations. Complete routine reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security‑related issues observed during patrols or while assigned to the post. Minimum Requirements Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
