Junior Trial Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Junior Trial Attorney to join their team in Burbank, CA. Duties Represent clients in court trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. Develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs. Interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare for trial. Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters. Work collaboratively with legal teams, paralegals, and investigators. Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents. Manage and supervise support staff. Review and analyze complex employment law documents and contracts. Monitor compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Participate in client development and business generation activities. Maintain detailed case files and documentation. Develop and implement litigation budgets. Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants. Requirements 2-3 years of litigation experience. Trial experience preferred. Strong background in procedural rules (e.g., Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure). Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s). Skills Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
