Shift: 12-Hour Nights (12H Nights)

Hours/Week: 36-40

Employment Type: Contract

Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience: 2+ years in acute care

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $46.90

What You'll Do

• Provide safe and effective care to patients on a newly established Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Manage diverse patient conditions including sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op cases such as orthopedic surgeries and abdominal procedures
• Perform wound management, JP drain care, wound vacs, and Fistula care
• Support bedside procedures including PCA and pain management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and Speech Therapy
• Complete EKG competency assessment prior to start
• Utilize EMR system (Meditech Expanse) for documentation and medication management

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Louisiana RN license
• 2+ years of recent hospital acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Experience with wound management and vascular access procedures

Preferred:

• Experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Ability to float across various hospital units
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
