Line Cook

Cheers Bar & Bistro is hiring a Line Cook at 3900 Medina Rd, Ste J in Akron. The kitchen prepares shareables, wings, and burgers, with line work across grill, sauté, fry, pantry, and prep stations. Cooks prepare menu items to recipes and standards and check food quality, consistency, and presentation through busy service. The position includes food prep, stocking, inventory rotation, a clean and sanitary kitchen, and coordination with kitchen and front-of-house teammates. It is offered full time or part time with no more than 40 expected hours per week, at a posted $15–$25 per hour.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to the kitchen's recipes and standards
• Work the grill, sauté, fry, pantry, and prep stations in this role
• Check each item for the food quality and consistency expected by the kitchen
• Pay attention to presentation before a finished plate leaves the line
• Keep kitchen work areas clean, organized, and sanitary during service
• Help with food prep when the line needs ingredients ready
• Stock supplies and rotate inventory as part of regular prep duties
• Work efficiently during busy service periods in the kitchen
• Coordinate with the teammates in the kitchen and front of house

What you'll need:

• Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Dependability and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
