Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapeutic and psychosocial counseling sessions with adolescents, focusing on solution-oriented techniques that promote healing and growth.

• Assist adolescents in building essential life skills to confront current challenges and prepare for future obstacles.

• Coordinate treatment planning and perform crisis assessments as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team.

• Engage in crisis intervention assessments, conducting screenings to create tailored treatment plans effectively.

• Provide specialized treatment to adolescents experiencing severe mental illness, cognitive impairments, or developmental disabilities, adapting approaches to meet their specific needs.

• Lead group counseling sessions on various pertinent mental health topics, fostering peer support and community among clients.

• Document client interactions meticulously, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with best practices.

• Facilitate training sessions for probation and detention staff, equipping them with effective strategies for supporting adolescents under their supervision.

• Coordinate discharge planning with community service providers to ensure seamless transitions and ongoing support after detainment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adolescents dealing with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other stress-related conditions. Qualifications\n
