Essential Duties

As part of our Building Services team, you'll help maintain County facilities through a variety of custodial and cleaning responsibilities, including:

• Cleaning and maintaining County buildings through daily tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Sanitizing restrooms, clinical areas, and high-touch surfaces.
• Maintaining floors and carpets using specialized cleaning equipment.
• Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables.
• Restocking cleaning supplies and organizing storage areas.
• Performing periodic deep-cleaning duties including vents, stairwells, baseboards, and other detailed cleaning tasks.
• Assisting with opening and closing facilities to help ensure building security.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.
• Supporting custodial operations across multiple County buildings as needed.

• Follows safety practices, including proper use of cleaning products and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This is a second shift position.
• Work is performed primarily indoors within County facilities.
• Position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
• Exposure to cleaning agents, dust, and occasional biohazard materials may occur, with appropriate safety procedures and PPE provided.
