Details Hospital-based Medicine Step Down unit Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Night shift schedule 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 48 hours per week Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills Additional Information Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments Obtains and monitors physiological data, observing and intervening as needed Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Educates patients and families on hospital procedures Refers patient care needs to appropriate personnel Delegates tasks to support staff Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Compliance documents and onboarding requirements must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed Contract extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying American Traveler Job ID P-747080.
