Technical Program Manager

Expected compensation: 101.23 USD Per Hour HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Technical Program Manager to support its Autonomy team in delivering critical improvements across Perception, Prediction & Behavioral ML, TeleGuidance, Planning & Controls, and Collision Avoidance systems. In this role, you’ll drive execution across complex cross-functional initiatives, helping engineering teams deliver against key technical and business objectives. You’ll support program planning, KPI tracking, risk management, and operational coordination across highly technical autonomy-focused programs. The ideal candidate is organized, execution-oriented, collaborative, and experienced managing complex software or autonomy-related engineering initiatives within fast-paced environments. As a Technical Program Manager, You'll Partner with engineering managers and functional leads to translate high-level objectives into actionable roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables. Drive execution of complex cross-functional initiatives focused on improving autonomous driving behavior and system performance. Support the development, tracking, and reporting of driving behavior KPIs, metrics, and operational datasets. Identify program risks proactively and partner with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation and resolution plans. Coordinate program activities across engineering, product, operations, and leadership stakeholders. Create and deliver executive-facing program updates covering status, risks, milestones, and key accomplishments. Help improve program management processes, execution visibility, and operational efficiency across autonomy programs. Requirements A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline 6+ years of program management experience with a focus on software development or technical engineering programs Proven ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional projects and operational initiatives Experience working closely with engineering teams in fast-paced technical environments Proficiency with project and program management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Gantt charts, and risk tracking frameworks Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting AI/ML, autonomous vehicle, robotics, automotive, or aerospace engineering programs Familiarity with autonomous systems KPIs, operational metrics, and engineering performance measurements Experience working in high-growth startup, consulting, or contract-based technical environments Experience supporting large-scale software, systems, or operational improvement initiatives Benefits Pre-tax commuter benefits Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service) Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance 401k package Commitment This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt.
