Family Support Workers maintain accurate case records, monitor progress, advocate for families, and collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and Nebraska’s Department of Health and Human Services. They aim to improve family stability, ensure child safety, and empower families to achieve greater independence and positive outcomes.**Duties/Responsibilities:*** Transport children, youth, and family members for supervised visitation and family support in your personal vehicle.* Clearly communicate expectations and provide redirection during visits.* Prepare timely and thorough documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational standards.* Consult regularly with supervisors regarding case status, progress, barriers, and successes.* Guide clients in developing strategies to address court-mandated and family-identified goals to improve family functioning.* Maintain confidential client records and uphold client confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.* Represent Jenda Family Services in a professional and positive manner.* Performs other related duties as assigned.**Work Environment:*** This is a field-based position where staff travel to and work primarily in family homes, potentially encountering unclean environments and exposure to smoke, insects, or clutter.* Daily travel exposes workers to outdoor weather conditions.* Staff must be willing to travel in and around Omaha, Lincoln, and surrounding counties for visitation.* Staff must be willing to travel to Jenda Lincoln for in-class training days during the training period, about 1-3 days a week.**Position Type:*** This position is considered a Variable Hour position with weekly hours ranging from 15-40 hours.* Expect part-time hours throughout the 4–6-week training period. Hours can be built up to full-time once out of training.* Hours are assigned based on staff availability and case referral acceptance.**Pay and Bonus*** Starting pay range is $20-$22 per hour based on education and experience.* Reviews and potential raises at 6 months of employment and every year from hire anniversary.* $500 bonus available to new Omaha Family Support Workers if: + Successfully complete 3 months of employment after the date of their first case assignment. + The requirement for part-time hours is met.**Benefits for full-time staff:*** Benefit eligibility will be based on a 3-month ACA measurement period.* Employer-subsidized health insurance with employees paying 50% of the premium.* Voluntary vision, dental, life, critical illness, and accident insurance.* Employer-paid short-term disability, employee assistance program, and $25,000 group life insurance.* 401(k) after 1 year of employment.## Qualifications**Required Skills/Abilities:*** Ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse families.* Superior verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent interpersonal skills.* Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.* Proficient problem-solving and multitasking abilities.* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.* Ability to operate an iPad with iOS or a laptop with Windows.**Education and Experience (one of the following must apply):*** Bachelor’s Degree in a human services, psychology, or related field.* Be within two semesters of graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in a human services, psychology, or a related field.* Associate’s degree in a human-services related field with 1 year of related work or volunteer experience.* High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of related work of volunteer experience. + Related work or volunteer experience can include but is not limited to human development, working with children and families, working with low income or poverty populations, or assisting in daily living skills.**Physical Requirements:*** Frequently drive clients in personal vehicle.* Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jenda Family Services
