Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation , using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
• Rotate every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
• Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Document patient care and assessments using Epic electronic health record system
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 60 miles will be considered but are given lower priority

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a community hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
