Registered Nurse - Med Surg in a travel, temporary assignment for 17 weeks in Rochester, NY. Start date: 09/14/2026. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult med/surg patients in an inpatient setting
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments; monitor vital signs, respond to changes in patient condition, and administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Manage telemetry monitoring and document rhythm changes; communicate findings to the care team
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care, including discharge planning and patient/family education
- Maintain accurate, complete documentation in the electronic medical record; adhere to clinical policies and safety protocols
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, address patient needs promptly, and participate in unit activities and on-call duties as required

Requirements
- RN license in New York State (NY RN License)
- Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Psychology experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and callbacks
- Willingness to pursue dual-certification in medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing after meeting experience requirements
