Data Strategy Lead - Hybrid

AbbVie seeks a Data Strategy Lead to serve as the clinical trial start-up expert, managing data-related deliverables from protocol development through system implementation. The role requires cross-functional collaboration to embed data standards into clinical plans while ensuring regulatory compliance and on-time trial delivery in a hybrid position based in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Own all data-related study start-up deliverables from protocol through system go-live
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to embed data strategies, standards, and technologies into clinical plans
• Manage operational analytics and project tracking to optimize execution and resolve issues
• Ensure consistency in data strategies, CRFs, and surveillance approaches across studies
• Drive process improvement initiatives and mentor team members across functions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent; Master's preferred
• 6+ years pharma, clinical research, data management, or healthcare experience
• In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes and clinical technology platforms
• Demonstrated functional leadership and ability to influence without direct authority
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and analytical skills in matrix environments
• PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired
• Effective communication and project management capabilities
