This unique contract role near Stillwater, MN, begins in early September 2026 and continues through early June 2027. You’ll join a forward-thinking team dedicated to supporting students in both early childhood and elementary settings by combining versatile special education expertise with a commitment to holistic student growth.
Ideal candidates will possess both Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications in Minnesota. You’ll collaborate onsite with other educators to pilot a new instructional model, helping shape the future of special education in the district. Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching license with both Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications (required)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with diverse learners ages 3 through elementary school
- Strong ability to tailor instruction to meet individual student needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to innovative approaches and professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and inclusive instruction to students with special needs in early childhood and elementary age groups
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively
- Adapt materials and strategies to support diverse learning abilities
- Work closely with fellow educators, families, and related service providers onsite
- Contribute to a collaborative, positive school environment while piloting new instructional models
This is a full-time position, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week throughout the 2026–2027 academic year.
