Staff Accountant

Overview Position: Staff Accountant. Employment Status: Full-Time, Salary. Location: Bonner Springs, KS 66012. Reports to: Controller. JOB SUMMARY The Staff Accountant must be detail-oriented and dependable. The primary focus is to support key financial and administrative functions within the organization. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of daily financial operations and supporting the broader finance team with timely and accurate reporting. Responsibilities and Duties Invoicing & Vouchering Support: Assist with client invoicing and vendor vouchering as needed. Service Invoicing: Prepare and issue service-related invoices, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Pay Applications: Prepare and submit construction pay applications in compliance with contract terms and billing schedules. Deposits: Record and track all incoming deposits in the accounting system. Collections Support: Help follow up on past-due accounts and assist with customer communication related to outstanding balances. Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support, including document management, internal filing, and support for reviews. Reconciliations: Reconcile accounting records, including AP, AR and general ledger accounts. Accounting Special Projects: Such as process improvements or system updates. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required). Construction or equipment rental and leasing experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge in accounting principles. Strong communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and QuickBooks software. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop or crouch. Work environment is well-lit, air conditioned/heated office environment. General Duties and Expectations Adhere to Company Code of Conduct/Ethics and Core Values.
