Legal Pricing Manager

Job Description

Madison Davis is partnering with a leading law firm on a search for an experienced Pricing Manager to join its growing pricing function. This is a fully remote opportunity offering a base salary of up to $190K, depending on experience.

The Pricing Manager will work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, Finance, and Business Development to develop and execute pricing strategies across sophisticated client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with attorneys and senior stakeholders on pricing strategy for new and existing matters
\n
• Develop and evaluate alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), including fixed fees, blended rates, volume-based arrangements, and other customized structures
\n
• Build financial models to assess revenue, profitability, realization, and margin
\n
• Support client pitches, RFPs, rate negotiations, and matter budgeting
\n
• Analyze historical matter performance and provide data-driven pricing recommendations
\n
• Monitor matter performance against budgets and pricing assumptions
\n
• Partner with Finance and Business Development to improve pricing processes, reporting, and commercial decision-making
\n
• Present pricing recommendations and financial analysis to senior stakeholders
\n

Ideal Background:

\n
• Pricing experience within a law firm or professional services environment
\n
• Strong understanding of law firm economics, including rates, realization, utilization, profitability, and matter budgeting
\n
• Hands-on experience developing and analyzing AFAs
\n
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
\n
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to attorneys and senior leadership
\n
• Strong commercial judgment and stakeholder-management skills
