Competitive compensation with benefits.We are seeking an Assurance Associate who is committed to delivering personal attention and exceptional service to clients while supporting audit engagements, preparing workpapers, and identifying value-added recommendations. This role offers meaningful opportunities to advance technical skills and take on increasing responsibility within a growing assurance practice.Essential functions include preparing for audits, including trial balance and lead sheet setup, schedule creation, and analysis. Verify accuracy of client accounting records and update financial statements. Develop an understanding of client businesses and industries. Meet budget and realization goals while supervising staff accountants to ensure they meet their targets. Identify client issues and service needs during engagements. Participate in recruiting efforts for staff and interns. Stay current on accounting developments and research technical issues. Identify and propose solutions to managers and partners for problem areas. Provide value-added suggestions from audits and reviews for client benefit. Meet assigned chargeable hour goals. Participate in internal training as appropriate. Work toward passing the CPA exam if not yet completed.Position requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA license strongly preferred. Two to five years of public accounting experience preferred. Solid understanding of basic accounting procedures and GAAP. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong multitasking abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
