Security Officer - Security

Description Security Officer at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro, San Pedro, CA. This is a full‑time, 8‑hour variable shift position. Under general supervision the Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. The officer may be required to assist with patient restraints across all age groups, following directions from the nurse in charge. Responsibilities • Patrol hospital premises and respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations. • Monitor surveillance equipment and record observations. • Enforce visitor and patient access controls. • Provide assistance during restraint procedures as directed by nursing staff. Required Qualifications Education that meets certification, license or registration requirements. Upon hire: California Security Guard Registration. Preferred Qualifications Recent experience in public safety (security) or military service, honorably discharged.
