This hybrid role combines contract administration with contract success support, ensuring accurate documentation, smooth internal coordination, and a positive customer experience. In sum, this role helps ensure federal contracts are accurately managed, updated, and leveraged to support sales and customer outcomes. The position reports to the Senior Federal Program Manager on the SHI PubSec Federal Programs and Development Team. The position will interact daily with SHI Federal sales and support staff at SHI headquarters in Somerset, NJ and field staff based in Washington DC.**Role Description***Contract Management** Upload and maintain contracts and related documents with oversight from Federal Program Managers and Deputy Program Managers* Support the accuracy and consistency of contract data* Assist with contract updates, modifications, and onboarding* Track contract status, deadlines, and renewals* Prepare contract-related reports for internal and external stakeholders*Internal Coordination** Serve as a daily contact for internal teams to facilitate a smooth and accurate management of federal contracts and related documentation* Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders* Coordinate with internal teams to improve contracts process flow* Track action items and escalate issues to Federal Program Managers and Deputy Program Managers, when needed* Support preparation of Statements of Work in alignment with contract requirements* Maintain reporting data in Teams and SharePoint* Provide backup coverage for Federal Programs and Development team members*Customer and Sales Support** Conduct research to advise internal stakeholders on best-fit contract options* Provide general contract and system support to internal stakeholders* Assist with training sales teams on contract requirements* Support cross-departmental efforts to improve contract performance**Behaviors and Competencies*** Negotiation: Can identify opportunities for compromise, propose solutions, and take action to influence outcomes without explicit instructions.* Analytical Thinking: Can apply critical thinking to analyze data, identify patterns, and make basic inferences.* Attention to Detail: Can identify errors or inconsistencies in work and make necessary corrections.* Communication: Can effectively communicate complex ideas and information, and can adapt communication style to the audience.* Conflict Resolution: Can mediate conflicts between individuals.* Productivity: Can identify opportunities for process improvement, propose solutions, and take action to increase productivity without explicit instructions.* Organization: Can prioritize daily tasks, manage personal workflow, and utilize basic tools to keep track of responsibilities.* Ethics: Can identify ethical dilemmas, propose solutions, and take action to uphold ethical standards without explicit instructions.* Risk Management: Can take calculated risks when the potential for reward outweighs the potential for loss.**Skill Level Requirements*** Ability to understand contract context - Basic* Ability to meet SLAs and manage high-volume activity - Basic* Ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy - Basic**Other Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience* 1 to 2 years of experience in sales, vendor support, purchasing, accounting, or similar customer-facing roles* Familiarity with the federal contracting process* Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite - Word and Track Changes, Excel, Outlook, SharePointThe base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary, are $60,000 - $65,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
