Senior Tour Accountant

Hyered are partnered with a leading independent music & entertainment company to find a Senior Tour Accountant to join their growing finance team in Nashville. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business at the heart of the live music and touring world, working across touring merchandise, artist settlements, royalties and financial reporting . The company operates across touring, e-commerce, creative, retail, licensing, collaborations and experiential activations, working with some of the biggest names across music and entertainment. The Role As Senior Tour Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the financial management and accounting for a portfolio of domestic and international tours from launch through to final settlement. You'll work closely with touring, operations, artist relations and external clients to ensure everything is financially accurate, commercially sound and settled in line with contractual requirements. You\'ll be responsible for: Managing the full accounting lifecycle for assigned tours Reviewing and reconciling daily tour sales, revenue, expenses, inventory and cash activity Preparing detailed artist and tour settlement statements Calculating artist royalties, commissions and profit participation Reviewing artist agreements and ensuring settlements align with contractual terms Managing advances, deposits, settlements and intercompany transactions Supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals Reviewing and approving touring-related vendor invoices Supporting 1099 reporting and other tax-related compliance Acting as the primary accounting contact for assigned tours Working closely with Touring, Production, Warehouse, Artist Relations, Legal and Executive teams Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting Supporting ERP and reporting enhancements Mentoring junior accountants and supporting team development What We\'re Looking For We\'re looking for someone with a strong accounting foundation who also understands the pace and complexity of the entertainment industry . You'll ideally bring: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 4+ years of accounting experience 2+ years of experience within music, entertainment, touring, live events or merchandise accounting Strong understanding of US GAAP Experience with financial reconciliations and month-end close Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with an ERP system — NetSuite is preferred Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines International accounting and foreign currency experience Understanding of artist royalty accounting and settlements Excellent organisation and communication skills Why This Role?
