Senior Staff Accountant - Touring

A well-established entertainment firm seeks a Senior Staff Accountant – Touring to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities Collaborate with Partners, Managers, Account Executives, and Assistant Account Executives on tour client accounts. Request tour itineraries and show contracts; forward these to Insurance Brokers and Foreign Accountants. File all tour documents in Google Drive, including itineraries, show contracts, budgets, etc. Create and review tour budgets. Complete state and foreign tax mitigation applications for specific territories. Coordinate with Foreign Accountants to ensure all necessary paperwork is provided for tax filings. Prepare application forms such as Form 8802, Form 8821, and Form 6166, along with letters of US residency. Prepare Form CA590 and relevant Canadian forms when applicable. Compile CWA budgets, end-of-tour reports, and provide necessary information to the tax department. Ensure insurance certificates are obtained from brokers and provided to vendors/promoters. Review and process vendor contracts and any requested amendments with Insurance and Legal Professionals. Record and reconcile show settlements in the Datafaction system. Code and track income from Promoters and Agents, reconciling accounts accordingly. Communicate with Promoters, Agents, and tax authorities regarding income and tax certificates. Prepare budget vs. actual reports and investigate discrepancies. Handle merchandise reconciliations and prepare meeting packages, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Create commission schedules and invoice for front-end tour support from record labels. Prepare label bill backs for tours, support, and promotional events. Coordinate with international accountants for tax return filings and prepare 360 label reports when needed. Maintain communication with the client’s team, including Managers, Tour staff, and Agents. Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills. Professionalism, time management, and organizational skills. Mathematical aptitude. Education / Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Prior bookkeeping and tour experience.
