This role involves providing specialized patient care on the postpartum floor, supporting maternal and newborn health, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing a diverse range of clinical tasks within the postpartum and neonatal care scope. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (ANRP) certification Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring Demonstrated IV Skills and ability to perform lab draws Demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin) Demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing Demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing Demonstrated knowledge of IStat testing equipment Demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including IV administration and maintenance Demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers Demonstrated knowledge to support gynecologic teaching & post-operative bladder training Demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience Minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience Additional Information: Must have license and certifications as specified above.
