Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Tennessee-licensed Pharmacist is needed to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for an established home medical equipment provider. This primarily remote role supports the company’s Montana Board of Pharmacy mail order license by managing licensing documentation and performing quarterly compliance inspections.
Location: Remote (must reside in Tennessee) with quarterly on-site inspections in Brentwood, TN
Type: Contract, 13+ weeks with potential for long-term extension
Schedule: Flexible remote hours; onsite inspections require approximately 1 hour, 4 hours annually total
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated Tennessee-licensed PIC supporting out-of-state mail order pharmacy licensing in Montana
Complete initial and renewal Pharmacist in Charge and Board of Pharmacy licensing documentation
Conduct quarterly on-site compliance inspections at the Brentwood, TN facility, including verifying tank storage, posted hours, and licenses
Review portable oxygen tank patient accounts to ensure annual prescription renewals
Complete detailed inspection checklists and report findings with follow-up recommendations
Assist with additional compliance and inspection requests from senior operations leadership
Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist in Tennessee with an unrestricted license and good standing
Reside within Tennessee with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
Minimum 3-5 years of pharmacist experience preferred (consideration given for less experience)
Ability to perform limited in-person inspections locally
This consulting position offers flexibility and a very low time commitment for a pharmacist already engaged in a full-time role. Quarterly inspections are the main on-site responsibility, requiring only a few hours per year.
