Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support residents, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, reliable, and teamwork-driven environment while responding to routine site needs with integrity and professionalism.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and other security-related duties appropriate to a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and activity within the location to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Support daily operations by preparing incident reports, sharing observations with management, and following post orders, emergency response guidelines, and other client-directed security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
