Empower young learners and make an impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive, center-based setting for 3rd and 4th graders. This contract opportunity begins September 8, 2026, and continues through June 10, 2027, offering a chance to work closely with a small group of remarkable students with autism and cognitive disabilities.

You’ll lead a classroom of eight students alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals, delivering tailored academic and social-emotional programming throughout the school day. Your expertise will help nurture a positive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Special Education Licensure in Minnesota
• Experience working with students diagnosed with autism and cognitive disabilities
• Ability to write and implement IEPs and conduct evaluations
• Strong relationship-building skills with both students and colleagues
• Excellent organization and communication abilities
• Leadership skills to manage and collaborate with paraprofessionals
• Spanish language proficiency is highly desired

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in a multi-age classroom setting
• Oversee and guide two paraprofessionals to maximize student success
• Develop, update, and manage IEPs and educational evaluations
• Foster a nurturing, inviting atmosphere for children and adults alike
• Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families
• Support positive behavioral and social outcomes for all students
