Controller / Accounting Manager

DescriptionThis role will oversee core accounting operations and financial reporting for the business. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of progressive general accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, with a strong command of inventory accounting. This is not a purely supervisory position—this role requires direct involvement in transactional and operational accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processPrepare and review internal financial statements and supporting schedulesOversee inventory accounting, including costing, reserves, and reconciliationsHandle or closely supervise accounts payable and accounts receivablePerform general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisMaintain and improve accounting controls, processes, and documentationSupport external auditors and year‑end reporting requirementsPartner with operations and management to support financial decision‑makingRequirements7+ years of general accounting and financial reporting experience within a manufacturing companyRequired experience with inventory accountingStrong hands‑on background with GL, AP, AR, and close processesExperience at the Accounting Manager or Controller level, depending on scope and company sizeSolid understanding of GAAP; cost accounting experience is highly preferredERP or manufacturing accounting system experience strongly preferredThe company offers an excellent benefits package including a generous bonus and pension plan.
