As a full-charge Accounting Specialist at Emerson & Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our clients' businesses. Reporting to and collaborating closely with the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of critical accounting services to our small to medium business clients to free up their valuable time. You will manage the entire accounting cycle for multiple clients, from data entry to complex financial reporting and tax returns. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
• Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records
• Compiles statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables of cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (based on client's needs)
• Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records
• Completes Sales Tax analysis and filings
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven 2+ years of experience in a full charge accounting role, preferably within a multi-client accounting firm.

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Knowledge of technical accounting standards
• Ability to travel to a client's location as needed
