Job Overview As Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Strategy, you will be the chief architect of our human capital infrastructure and lead a global team of recruiters and operators. You will design a predictive, highly automated talent system—mapping company growth to workforce requirements, isolating where human judgment is irreplaceable, and deploying AI agents for repetitive mechanics. You are a visionary leader who models organizational systems, identifies constraints, and ships elegant, scalable solutions. Responsibilities Customer Obsession & Outcome-Driven Systems – Treat our candidates and hiring managers as your ultimate customers, designing the entire talent acquisition architecture with speed, transparency, and mutual respect. Outcomes Over Process – Ruthlessly eliminate process for process’s sake, empowering the team to be agile and focused on high-quality hires. Talent System Architecture & Strategic Planning – Partner with executive leadership to translate long-term product roadmaps and financial models into a predictive, multi‑year global talent strategy. Pipeline Instrumentation – Build and monitor a highly data‑driven talent funnel, instrumenting key metrics to continuously tune the engine. AI‑First Operations – Deploy and scale AI agents across sourcing workflows, initial technical screening, scheduling, and candidate communication. High‑Credibility Partnerships – Earn deep trust with our organizations through genuine technical fluency. Market Intelligence – Provide proactive talent market insights, advising leaders on global talent pool elasticity, compensation trends, and site selection. Global Operations & Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and elevate a global team of recruiters, technical sourcers, operational specialists, and passionate members. Global Compliance Velocity – Maintain data privacy and regulatory compliance across the US, EMEA, and APAC. Employer Brand as a Product – Position Cloudflare’s employer brand authentic to our culture, attracting builders passionate about shaping an AI‑first Internet. Future Talent Pipelines – Run early‑career, university, and diversity recruiting initiatives with a metrics‑driven approach. Qualifications Senior people‑leadership background from Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Engineering, Sales, or corporate strategy where problem‑solving begins with systems modeling. Leadership experience at a SaaS, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or consumer company with a focus on high‑level technical bar. Proven success guiding talent operations through corporate reorganizations, high‑growth scaling, or post‑acquisition integrations. Compensation architecture fluency with market data platforms and equity design. Direct experience scaling international tech hubs across EMEA and APAC, with knowledge of cross‑border talent mobilization and regional employment practices. Compensation Estimated annual salary for New York City hires: $375,000 – $400,000. Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
