About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Sales Engineering to lead the development and management of a high-performing sales engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, hiring, and coaching the team to support sales and partnerships, with a focus on value-based selling and strategic scoping practices. This role involves implementing and maintaining the necessary infrastructure in Salesforce for effective tracking and reporting, as well as creating standardized playbooks and methodologies for technical discovery and solution design. The Head of Sales Engineering will also be a key partner to the VP of Sales, Revenue Operations, and Partnerships leadership, ensuring that the sales engineering strategy aligns with revenue goals and optimizes coverage models. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or a related technical role, with at least 2 years in a managerial or team lead position. A proven track record in building scalable processes and strong coaching skills are essential. The role requires a deep understanding of APIs, integrations, telephony infrastructure, and enterprise SaaS architectures, with experience in healthcare technology and/or ML/AI/NLU technologies strongly preferred. The Head of Sales Engineering will also be the critical link between customer-facing teams and product/engineering, leading engagements on strategic deals and providing competitive positioning guidance. The ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term needs is a key attribute for this position.
