Paralegal - General Liability

From that point forward, we strive to deliver results that are expected by our clients. The Woodbridge Office in Iselin, NJ is looking for a General Liability Paralegal to join our growing team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Must be able to independently prepare subpoena, review and summarize discovery responses and medical records completely. Schedule, notice, confirm, gather and produce all records related to Independent Medical Examinations, calendar relevant deadlines with strong follow up skills. Draft motions to compel, sanctions, for extraordinary relief and motions to enforce subpoenas. Perform verdict searches, docket searches, social media and background searches. Position Requirements: Must have a paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a New York defense paralegal required. Must have experience working both NJ and NY cases; experience using NY NYCHA/E-track filing system, NJ ECourts and PACER preferred. Experience in commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident and product liability preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred. Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 and represents C&W’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, included but not limited to experience and qualifications.
