Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments for individual and family therapy, allowing you to diagnose and develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s specific needs. Facilitate scheduled group therapy sessions, creating a supportive environment where patients can share experiences and heal collectively. Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring they feel safe and respected throughout their treatment journey. Exhibit cultural sensitivity and adaptability when working with patients from diverse backgrounds, addressing various DSM diagnoses with tailored strategies. Utilize psychosocial assessments effectively to inform treatment interventions, ensuring they align with established best practices. Document all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress updates meticulously to maintain compliance with medical standards and promote continuity of care. Participate actively in weekly treatment planning meetings, submitting progress reports that contribute towards the holistic care delivered by our multidisciplinary team. Assist in formulating the Discharge Aftercare Plan, ensuring that patients have the necessary resources and strategies for continued support post-treatment. Help coordinate patient care, assisting in resource allocation and referrals when necessary. Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and seminars to stay updated on trends and advancements in mental health practice. Provide culturally competent care across various age groups, including children, transitional age youth, adults, and geriatric populations, addressing their unique physical, psychological, and cultural needs with integrity. Patient Population / Client Focus The mental health therapist will work primarily with a diverse clientele drawn from various backgrounds and demographics within the Fort Worth area. Our patients often face a multitude of challenges, and as such, the role demands sensitivity to the complexities of mental health issues that affect children, youth, adults, and older adults. Qualifications A valid, unrestricted license in the State as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is mandatory. A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required. Preferred Experience Experience working in community health settings or rehabilitation programs is advantageous. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and integrated care approaches.
