Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day activities will involve a variety of essential tasks, including: Conducting detailed trauma-informed assessments that meticulously evaluate each patient’s history and current mental health needs. Developing personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery, building resilience, and promoting overall mental well-being. Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address complex trauma-related issues. Leading both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, acquire effective coping strategies, and foster healing. Working closely with psychiatrists and other team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Offering crisis intervention in high-stress situations, providing immediate support for trauma-related emergencies. Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to aid recovery. Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards. Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and engaging in professional development activities to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care. Staying informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring your approach is evidence-based and effective. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be working with individuals affected by a range of trauma-related disorders. This includes survivors of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of patients seeking to overcome their past experiences and improve their overall mental health. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas. A minimum of 2 years of substantive post-licensure experience in a mental health setting. Strong knowledge and extensive experience with trauma-related disorders, therapeutic modalities, and resilience-building strategies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach. Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations, providing effective support during crises. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to mental health practice. A collaborative mindset to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and a strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment approaches will be preferred. A robust understanding of various therapeutic techniques will strengthen your capacity to address and respond to the nuanced needs of our diverse client population. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
