Bank/Balance Sheet reconciliationPrepare month-end journal entries, along with necessary supporting documentationPrepare various balance sheet reconciliations including cash, work in process, accrued liabilities, prepaids, among other accountsAssist with analyzing job costs and closing jobs at month-endAnalyze weekly cash and bank transactions to ensure properly recordedResearch accounting questions from business unit personnel and CorporateResearch and review reconciling items or accounting issues, recommend or resolve issuesAssist with process improvement and documentation of proceduresComplete variance analysis and provide insights on changes in trend and period-over-period movementsAssist in preparation of internal monthly and year-end financial reportingSupport annual audit procedures through data gathering, variance explanations, and documentation preparationAd-hoc requirements – supporting the business with any ad-hoc reporting or request. Such areas may include system implementation/enhancements, ad-hoc business analysis/modelling, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support and other special projects as assignedRequired Education/Experience:Undergraduate degree in accountingMinimum five years of senior experiencePrior extensive ownership of the monthly close cycle in a multi-site environment ideally complex/growingFinancial reporting backgroundAdvanced ExcelAcquisition experience in a PE-backed company is a strong bonusOrganized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbal
