Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Create a trusting environment by explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples and patient interactions.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment in line with safety protocols.
• Perform routine specimen processing and handle logistics to support laboratory operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

• Proven phlebotomy skills with experience in specimen collection from diverse patient populations.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster trust and comfort with patients.
• Strong data entry and recordkeeping abilities.
• Attention to detail to ensure error-free specimen collection and documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred.
• Flexible schedule including availability for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from the worksite, with a commute within 20-25 minutes.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to adhere to scheduled shifts without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
