Certified Medical Assistant - Orthopedics

Responsibilities Provide indirect and direct patient care within the scope of practice Assist with the completion of patient chief complaints and vital sign assessments Maintain clinical and administrative skills per departmental competency guidelines Document in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and appropriately Support patient and provider with virtual health visits and related preparations Ensure a clean and safe work environment Perform front desk workflows as needed and follow up on patient appointments Requirements Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA) required High School/GED (required) Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant post‑secondary education program (preferred in all states except South Carolina) 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience (preferred) Completion of externship or clinical lab training (preferred) Ability to assist with virtual health visits and related technology Understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, including vital sign assessments and documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
