Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using standardized assessments alongside observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on essential aspects such as communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing health.
• Collaboratively engage with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, care providers, and families to form cohesive and effective care strategies.
• Provide vital education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain diligent and precise documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
